A drive around the eastern and northern part of Terceira: the Serra do Cume viewpoint, the town of Praia da Vitória and the natural pools at Biscoitos. About 55 km in all. WIND AND FOG: up on Serra do Cume, at around 545 metres, the wind hardly ever stops and fog can arrive within minutes. Take a jacket. THE SEA: only get into the pools at Biscoitos when the sea is calm. When there is any swell, keep away from the rocks.
