Berlin: From the Gate to Museum Island

The historic core of Berlin (~4.7 km on the flat, 3 h). The route runs from the Reichstag by way of the Brandenburg Gate to Potsdamer Platz, back to Unter den Linden and ends on Museum Island. The optional detour to Alexanderplatz adds under a kilometre. Everything is outdoors and open all year; the Reichstag and the memorial information centre have security checks and the queues can be long.
