Berlin: The Western Side

West Berlin from the Memorial Church across the Tiergarten (~5 km on the flat, 3 h). The route ends at the Brandenburg Gate, so the Mitte walk carries straight on from it. The optional detour to Charlottenburg Palace adds two hours and is reached by underground. Everything is outdoors and open all year; KaDeWe and the Victory Column charge admission.
