Berlin: The Wall and the Divided City

A route along the traces of the Berlin Wall (~5 km on foot, a full day including two rides on public transport). It runs from Bernauer Straße by way of Friedrichstraße and Checkpoint Charlie to the East Side Gallery. There are two transfers, after Mauerpark and after the Topography of Terror. A day ticket (zone AB) pays for itself. The optional detour to Tempelhof adds about two hours. The outdoor exhibits are always open; the museums have closing days.
