Naples: Royal Naples and the Vomero

From the enormous square where a king bet his courtiers they could not do something nobody managed, past the royal palace with its rulers walled into the façade, an opera house older than Mozart and a fortress with a white triumphal arch, to the castle on an islet with a charm supposedly walled in beneath it, holding the whole city together. Finally up the funicular to the Vomero, from where you see all of Naples at once.
