Who we are
Guide22 (www.guide22.com) offers self-guided city walks with stories and quiz questions. The service is operated by Jan Ĺ afka, Czech Republic (the "operator", data controller). Contact: jan.safka@gmail.com.
What data we process
Account data — if you sign up: e-mail address, display name and, when you use Google or Facebook login, the name and e-mail those providers share with us. We never receive your passwords from Google or Facebook, and we never post anything on your behalf.
Game data — walks you start and finish, your answers, earned badges and (only if you enable the setting) the route trace recorded during a walk.
Anonymous usage data — an anonymous identifier stored in your browser lets you play without an account and provides basic usage statistics (pages viewed, walks started/finished). It is not linked to your identity unless you later sign in.
Location — your position is used only in your browser to show you on the map, and only if you switch the setting on. It is not sent to our servers unless you enable route tracing.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and local storage strictly necessary to run the game (login session, language preference, walk progress, your consent choice).
Advertising cookies are used only after you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Ads are served by Google AdSense; Google may use cookies to personalise ads. You can change your choice any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Who processes the data for us
Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU), Vercel (web hosting), Google (login, AdSense advertising), Meta/Facebook (login), Seznam.cz — Mapy.com (map tiles). These providers process data solely to deliver their part of the service.
How long we keep data
Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Anonymous usage events are kept for statistical purposes in aggregate form.
Your rights & data deletion
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict processing.
To delete your account and all associated data (including data obtained via Facebook or Google login), send a request from your registered e-mail address to jan.safka@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Guide22 account". We will confirm the deletion within 30 days.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ĂšOOĂš, www.uoou.cz).
