Staré Město (Old Town) – 5 / 13

When King Charles IV was building the New Town of Prague, he liked to walk around the city and even suggested how the city should look like. Once, when he was returning home from a long journey, he noticed that a new street had been created that he did not know. The king was astonished, but as houses were being built around it, he decided to keep the street, “but let it be called for ever

 (in Czech no Commaded street)

because I have not commanded that it should be founded.”

We continue along Na Příkopě Street until we reach another intersection. Here are a few harebrained things.
