The court is properly called Týn, but because it was formerly a centre of trade and also separated from the town by a wall which served as protection, a duty had to be paid for protection, and the duty was said in old German




That is, the same way most people know Týn now. (If you don’t know its name, for example, the name above the entrance to the toy shop shows where the toy shop is).

Exit Týn on the other side and continue along the church straight on to Old Town Square.
